Established in Battle Creek, Michigan by Victor Carroll in 1890 - Squier was an independent company until it was acquired by Fender in 1965. Today, Squier guitars are made around the world in some of the most prominent asian factories.
Squier, by Fender, may be a cost-conscious alternative, but it offers the same spark and vigor as the Fender Telecaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass, and Jazz Bass. In fact, many discerning players have championed the Classic Vibe Series, stating that it is extremely close to a Fender Custom Shop guitar, but at the fraction of the price.
